Brannen McElmurray (left), managing director and Verona Carter, vice-president, corporate affairs, both from New Fortress Energy (NFE), present a cheque from NFE for J$750,000 to Ingrid Parchment, executive director for Caribbean Coastal Area Management (C-CAM) Foundation, and Winston Monroe, fisherman from the Greenwich Farm Beach area, for this year's International Fisherman's Day Symposium. New Fortress Energy has signed a three-year agreement with C-CAM as headline sponsor for the annual symposium. International Fisherman’s Day will be recognised this year on July 8 with the symposium to be held at the Cardiff Hotel in Runaway Bay, St Ann. The fisherfolk will be engaged in a series of discussions including motivational talks, security at sea tips and updates, engine care and environmental conservation. Other sponsors will also be on hand to exhibit items ranging from solar products, boat engines and other paraphernalia used in the fishing industry.
