Noranda’s Community Relations Superintendent Kent Skyers ( left) has a word of encouragement for the Hopewell Park Football Club of Discovery Bay before handing them the winner’s trophy for the 2018 Noranda-sponsored football competition following the finals played at Port Rhoades Sports Club on September 27. Hopewell defeated Links Youth Club of Alexandria 2-0.Hopewell is one of 35 community clubs that participated this year in Noranda-sponsored sports competitions, which saw over 700 youngsters participating in football, cricket and netball. Noranda also sponsors the St Ann cricket, netball and football associations and makes available its sports club facilities to schools and other sports organisations in the region.
