Illegal guns seized in St Elizabeth, man charged

A St Elizabeth Police seized three firearms during an operation in Old Wharf District, Pedro Plains in the parish on Tuesday and arrested and charged a man in relation to the seizure.
He is 56-year-old Paolodel Grande, otherwise called Captain, an Italian national, who is of an Old Wharf district address.
The police say about 8:00 a.m. a team was in the area when a premises occupied by Grande was searched.
According to the police, the firearms - one Colt .44 pistol and two other revolvers - were seized.
He was subsequently arrested and charged for illegal possession of firearm.
A court date is to be set.
