The police in New York City, in the United States, have released surveillance video showing a woman smashing out the windows of a Jamaican restaurant after she was told that the eatery had run out of beef patties.

The incident happened on January 15 at the Back Home #2 restaurant located on East 169 Street in The Bronx, police and employees say.

The woman has not been identified or apprehended.

According to the New York Daily News, the woman entered the restaurant shortly after 4p.m. and ordered a beef patty

It’s reported that she got upset and started arguing with an employee after he told her the restaurant was out of beef patties.

The newspaper quoted police sources as saying she stormed out of the restaurant, but returned minutes later carrying an aluminium baseball bat.

The surveillance video shows the woman bashing the restaurant’s two large windows before walking off with the bat in hand.

Workers declined to comment about the incident when reached.
