Sharona Nelson, 25, of Grant’s Mountain district in St Ann, was the first to give birth at the St Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2022.

Nelson gave birth to a healthy baby boy, her second child, at 6:59 a.m., weighing 3.1 kg, who was yet to be named when The Gleaner visited the hospital.
