Former cashier at gaming outlet accused of stealing millions granted $800,000 bail
A former cashier at a gaming outlet accused of stealing $2.6 million was on Tuesday offered $800,000 bail in the St Catherine Parish Court.
Stacey-Ann Davidson is charged with larceny as a servant.
In applying for bail, her attorney told the court that she is not a flight risk and that she will turn up for her obligation.
In granting bail, Senior Parish Court Judge Yvette Wenthworth-Miller ordered Davidson to report to Ewarton Police Station three times weekly and reappear in court on May 7.
Allegations are that on December 24, 2023, Davidson, who was employed as a cashier to sell on a Supreme Venture contracted gaming machine, failed to deposit $2.6 million.
She later called the complainant and told her that she failed in her responsibility, but will repay her.
An arrangement was made and Davidson's failure to honour same resulted in a report being made to the police.
This led to Davidson being arrested and charged with larceny as a servant.
