Hague infant department closed over environmental concerns
One hundred and ninety students from the infant department of the Hague Primary and Infant School are now attending classes online after the department was closed over environmental concerns.
"On a visit by the public health officers some environmental concerns were identified and they ordered a closure," the principal, Everaldo Bennett, told The Gleaner.
He declined to provide details of the environmental concerns.
"We will be working to fix the concerns. Hopefully we will complete the required recommendations so that they can give us the all clear and the department can get back to normal school by Monday," he said.
On Tuesday, the school informed parents in a letter that the department had been closed with immediate effect.
It asked parents and guardians to pick up their children as soon as possible.
