Kingston Wharves suspends operations amid pollution from Riverton

Kingston Wharves Limited (KWL) has suspended operations at its facilities at Newport West due to the smoke and poor air quality resulting from the fire at the Riverton City landfill.
It says members of the public are advised to avoid attending the wharf to do business at KWL until noon when the situation will be reassessed.
"In the interest of its team and customers, KWL has temporarily suspended all vessel and gate operations at its terminal, services at all warehouses and motor vehicle operations at its Global Auto Logistics Centre at Tinson Pen," Kingston Wharves said.
