29-y-o charged for fatal St Andrew home invasion

A 29-year-old man has been charged by the police for the August 2023 shooting death of another in his home on Dunrobin Avenue in St Andrew.
Charged with murder and illegal possession of firearm and ammunition is Romario Codner, otherwise called 'Chunky', of the same address.
He was charged on Tuesday by the Half-Way Tree police in connection with the murder of 50-year-old mason Leroy Morgan.
Reports from the police are that about 2:15 a.m., Morgan was at home when Codner and another man allegedly entered his house armed with firearms and opened gunfire.
Morgan was shot several times and was assisted to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Codner was taken into custody and charged on Tuesday, April 30.
A court date for him is being finalised.
