The Flow Foundation had another successful collaboration with the GraceKennedy Jamaican Birthright Programme, which provides a work and learn opportunity for tertiary-level students of Jamaican heritage in the diaspora. From left are Lauren Walcott (Northwestern University, Chicago), Madison Thomas (Pomona College, California), Shelly-Ann O’Connor (operations and projects coordinator, Flow Foundation), Romari Smith (Queen’s University, Toronto), Courtney Bell (community programmes coordinator, Flow Foundation), and Tariq Brown (University of Sussex). The Flow Foundation donated a Samsung smartphone and a two-month data plan to each of the four participants, which supported their communication needs with family back home, as well as assist with their daily tasks while on the programme.
