AMEXCID invites applications for 2024 medical specialisation scholarship

The Mexican Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID), part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico, is now accepting applications for the 2024 AMEXCID Medical Specialisation Scholarship.

This scholarship programme offers opportunity for individuals seeking to undertake specialised medical studies in Mexico. In a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Education and Youth (MOEY), eligible Jamaican candidates are being encouraged to take advantage of this valuable opportunity to advance their medical education and contribute to the global healthcare community.

The AMEXCID Medical Specialisation Scholarship is designed for candidates who are either currently pursuing their studies in Mexico or wish to continue their studies.

The scholarship supports specialised medical studies spanning two to three years, aimed at enhancing the skills and expertise of future medical professionals.

Application deadline is Friday, August 23, at 11:59 p.m. (Mexico time) or 12:59 a.m. on Saturday, August 24 (Jamaica time).

Applications must be submitted online through the Academic Cooperation Management System (SIGCA) at https://sigca.sre.gob.mx/login. The embassy will not accept physical applications. The successful applicants will be notified between September 17 and 20.
