Two guns seized by St Andrew South police, man arrested

Two illegal guns loaded with ammunition were seized by the St Andrew South police last night during a snap raid on Kidd Lane.

A man who was found inhabiting the house was taken into custody.

His identity is being withheld pending further investigation.

Reports from the lawmen are that about 10:00 p.m., the St Andrew South Operational Support Team, acting on information, carried out an operation in the area.

During the operation, a house was searched, where a Browning pistol fitted with a magazine containing fifteen 9mm cartridges and a Taurus pistol fitted with a magazine containing five 9mm cartridges were found.
