To wrap up the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information’s Maths Month celebrations, Region 7 hosted its first Mathematics Day on March 28 at Glenmuir High School. Keynote speaker, Tresha-Gay Roper (centre), product scheduler and service excellence manager at The Best Dressed Chicken — and a Glenmuir alumna — engaged students with an insightful presentation on the critical role mathematics plays in the production of one of their favourite snacks: The Best Dressed Chicken Nuggets! Sharing in a post-presentation Q&A session are Glenmuir High School grade 10 students Antwone Allen (left) and Justin-Paul Harriott.
