Mother killed, daughter injured in attack at their home in Portmore

A policeman at a home in Breaton, Portmore, St Catherine where a woman was killed and her daughter injured in an attack on February 17.

A mother was killed and her daughter injured in an attack at their home in Braeton, Portmore, St Catherine this morning.

The attack was reportedly carried out by a man believed to be of unsound mind.

The injured woman was taken to hospital.

The man reportedly fled the scene but was later held in a section of the community.

The incident occurred shortly after 9:00 a.m.

The police were called to the home and are investigating the matter.
