Westmoreland resident accused of shooting man with spear gun

The police in Westmoreland have charged a 37-year-old man for allegedly using a spear gun to shoot another man in the chest.

He is construction worker Cashmar Tomlinson of Strathbogie, who has been charged with wounding with intent.

Tomlinson was charged on Monday.

According to reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police, about 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025, Tomlinson allegedly used a spear gun to shoot a man in the chest before escaping on a bicycle in the area.

The injured man was transported by residents to hospital, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.

Following months of investigation, Tomlinson was arrested during an operation on Monday, February 16, and subsequently charged.
