5-y-o Clarendon girl suspected to have drowned in pit at her home

The police are investigating the death of a five-year-old girl who is suspected to have drowned in a pit at her home in Rocky Point, Clarendon, on Sunday.

The child has been identified as Rackeema Williams.

According to police reports, the child is believed to have fallen into an open pit on the premises.

It is understood that her mother was unable to locate her inside the house and began searching the yard.

During her search, she noticed that a stone used to secure a manhole cover was missing.

Upon inspecting the area, she reportedly discovered her daughter’s body inside the pit.

The mother reportedly retrieved the child, who was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
