Campbell-Brown lowers season best to place third in 100m

Veronica Campbell-Brown lowered her season best to 10.91 seconds, but had to settle for third in the women’s 100m at the Doha Diamond League today.
American Tori Bowie pulled off a mild upset after posting a new meet record and world leading time of 10.80 to win ahead of pre-race favourite Dafne Schippers of The Netherlands (10.83).
Jamaica’s other athlete in the race, Simone Facey was sixth in 11.05.
Campbell- Brown who had opened the season with an 11.17 clocking was pleased with the improved showing.
"I have to be pleased, because the improvement is good," Campbell-Brown said.
