OLYMPIC GAMES 100-metre hurdles finalist Britany Anderson continued her excellent indoor form this season when she won the World Athletics Silver Tour women’s 60-metre hurdles in Louisville this weekend, in a personal best 7.82 seconds.

The 21-year-old Anderson, who is in a battle with countrywoman Danielle Williams for top spot and an automatic wild card entry to next month’s World Indoor Championships, bounced back from her close second-place finish in New York behind Williams for a big win on Saturday.

After a preliminary-round where she ran a smart 7.98 seconds, she was in fantastic form in the final, winning easily ahead of the United States duo of Alysha Johnson 7.90 and Dior Hall 7.97 seconds. Her winning time now has her at number four in the world. Williams is the world leader after her 7.75-second clocking a day earlier at Clemson University.

Also competing in Louisville, Christopher Taylor, who like Anderson trains at the Tumbleweed Track Club in Florida, finished second overall in a personal best 32.56 seconds in the men’s 300 metres. Kahmari Montgomery won overall in a meet record 32.42 seconds.
