Cedricka Williams smashes Central Champs' discus record

Holmwood Technical thrower, Cedricka Williams stole the spotlight in early action at the Central Championships at GF Foster College after a massive throw in the girls' class one discus.
Fresh off her Carifta Trials success over the weekend in the Under 20 Discus, Williams won the event with a throw of 53.91 metres to break the 2019 record of 50.41 set by former Vere Technical athlete, Marie Forbes.
Second place finisher, Abigail Martin of St Jago, also threw further than the old mark, her disc hitting the turf at 52.O1 metres.
