Thompson Herah takes on 400 at Speedfest

Double Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson Herah is scheduled to open her outdoor season this afternoon when she competes in the women's 400m at the John Wolmer Speedfest at the National Stadium.
Thompson-Herah, who has a personal best time of 55.88 seconds in the event, will run from lane four in heat two. She will have for company World Championships 400m hurdles bronze medalist Rushell Clayton, who is drawn in lane five.
Former world 100m champion Yohan Blake is also set to open his season at the meet when he competes in heat three of the men's 200m. National 100m champion Tyquendo Tracey and Jevaughn Minizie will compete in the 200m.
Olympic 100m semifinalist Oblique Seville is down to participate in heat four of the men's 100m event.
