Led by a sparkling 89 from Brandon King, the Jamaica Tallawahs defeated St Kitts and Nevis Patriots by 47 runs in the opening game of the Men’s Caribbean Premier League at Warner Park here on Wednesday night.

Scores:

TALLAWAHS 183 for two off 20 overs (Brandon King 89, Kennar Lewis 48, Rovman Powell 30 not out).

PATRIOTS 136 for eight off 20 overs (Sherfane Rutherford 33, Andre Fletcher 31; Nicholson Gordon 3-32, Imad Wasim 2-20).
