Mona thrash Hydel to stay perfect

Mona High ensured that they will head to the second round of the ISSA/Digicel Manning Cup undefeated after thrashing Hydel 8-0 in their final group game this afternoon at the Mona High School field.

Robino Gordon powered the team with four goals in the 77th, 82nd, 84th and 87th minutes, while Donhue Mitchell got a first-half brace in the first and 21st.

Denzel McKenzie and Dante Peralto added goals in the 45th and 50th minutes as Mona won the group with a perfect 30 points.

Hydel will have to wait until tomorrow's games to see if they will make the second round as one of the four best third-placed teams.
