In the space of just five days Jamaica has lost two of its outstanding track and field coaches at the high school level.
Edward Hector, 69, died on Wednesday night at his home in Mandeville, his death coming just four days after the passing of St Elizabeth Technical High's Eldemire Smith last Saturday.
Hector was a middle distance coach at Holmwood Technical High for several years and he also had a short stint at St Elizabeth Technical. He was also a national coach at both the junior and senior levels.
