Hydel sprinters dominate Gibson McCook

The Girls’ 4x100 metres tonight at the Gibson McCook Relays inside the National Stadium were highlighted by strong performances from Hydel High and a difficult day at the office for Edwin Allen High School.

Hydel High scored two victories from the four 4x100 metres finals on offer, highlighted by the Class One crown they won in 44.25 seconds, edging out Edwin Allen, who clocked 44.91 for second place. Holmwood Technical were third in 46.19.

Hydel also took the Class Four crown in 48.86 with Holmwood Technical, third in 48.87. Edwin Allen finished third in 49.90.

St Jago were best among the Class Twos, winning in 46.04 with Edwin Allen, second in 46.25, and St Mary High, third in 46.87.

Class Three was won by Wolmer's Girls’, clocking 46.09 with Edwin Allen second in 47.12, and Hydel third in 47.46.
