Queen’s Coke, KC’s Campbell win steeplechase at Corporate Champs

The Queen's School’s Crystal Shauna Kay Coke and Kingston College's (KC) Ainsley Campbell had early success at the Anthrick Corporate Area Championships this morning at the National Stadium after winning the 2,000 metres Steeplechase.

Coke was an easy winner in the girls’ event, the first track event of the meet, after posting a personal best of 7:46.32 minutes, as Camperdown’s Jahnelle Laing with 8:59.23 and Renae Chung of Wolmer’s Girls’ School with 9:26.76 was second and third respectively.

KC's Campbell remained unbeaten this season after winning the boys' event in 6:06.75 minutes. Jamaica College’s Tyrone Lawson ran a personal best of 6:15.11 minutes to finish second as teammate Nellie Ambriton with 6:16.78, ended third.
