#PennRelays2023 | Gallant fight from Rhodes Hall’s Aaliyah Willary
PHILADELPHIA, USA:
Fourteen-year-old Rhodes Hall High’s Aaliyah Willary fought gallantly to finish second in the high school girls’ Championships of America high jump final after a jump-off at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America (USA).
Willary, who finished third in the Class Three event at the ISSA/GraceKennedy Boys and Girls’ Athletics Championships earlier this season, cleared 1.70 metres, which placed her in the jump-off with Samantha Strydesky of Howell, situated in New Jersey. Willary eventually lost with the bar at 1.69 metres.
Dejonae Bruce of Edwin Allen was third, while Shaniniqua Williams of Wolmer's Girls’ School ended fourth. All cleared 1. 70 metres.
