BALTIMORE, Maryland, USA:
The two fastest female juniors in the world this year, Alana Reid of Hydel and Adaejah Hodge of the British Virgin Islands, stayed on course for a big 100 metres clash after the preliminary round of the girls' 100 metres at the Puma East Coast International meet today in Landover, Baltimore in Maryland, United States of America.
Reid clocked an easy 11.42 seconds to win heat one of the event, with Hodge replying in the second heat with 11.34, the second-fastest time going into the final.
Petersfield High's Alexis James with 11.53 seconds and Hydel's Aaliyah Baker with 11.76 also won their heats to advance.
