Rain postpones Under-20 Girlz game against Canada
Jamaica's opening Concacaf Under-20 Women's Championship group game against Canada today has been postponed because of inclement weather.
The match was scheduled for a 3:00 p.m. kick-off from the Estadio Felix Sanchez in the Dominican Republic, but heavy rain, resulting in a waterlogged field, led to a three-hour delay.
With conditions not improving, the decision was made to postpone the fixture as well as the second game of the doubleheader between the United States and Panama.
A new schedule is expected to be announced shortly, according to Concacaf.
