Jamaica’s young men followed their female counterparts in winning the 4x100-metre relays at the World Under-20 Championships in Lima, Peru this evening.

The quartet of Jace Witter, Gary Card, Nyrone Wade, and Deandre Daley ran a season’s best 39.18 seconds to get the better of Great Britain, who crossed the tape in 39.20.

Great Britain were good enough to get the better of Thailand, who finished third in a national under-20 record, 39.39.

The result leaves the Jamaicans with five medals — four gold, and a bronze.
