Champs 2026 | Edwin Allen clocks fastest time in boys 4x100m qualifiers
Edwin Allen registered the fastest time of the afternoon in the preliminaries of the boys Class One 4x100m relay when they won heat four in 40.12 seconds today at the National Stadium.
They narrowly edged Jamaica College’s (JC) time in heat two of 40.18, while Kingston College (KC) advanced in 40.52.
Excelsior, last year’s silver medallists, were the other automatic qualifier as they crossed the line in 40.76.
JC clocked the fastest time in Class Two qualifiers as they led the way in 41.07, while Edwin Allen had the next best time, taking heat three in 41.17.
Wolmer’s qualified automatically in a time of 41.44, along with KC, 41.67, as Calabar advanced as a non-automatic qualifier in 41.33.
KC, Wolmer’s, Calabar and JC were the automatic qualifiers in Class Three as they took the four automatic qualifying spots.
KC were the fastest of the bunch as they crossed the line in 43.24, while Wolmers took heat one in 43.63.
Calabar won heat four in 44.15 and JC topped their heat, stopping the clock in 44.17.
