The police are advising persons who will be attending the football match between the Reggae Girlz and Guyana at the National Stadium on Saturday that several restrictions will be enforced.

They say no weapons, selfie sticks, fireworks, flame-creating devices, large igloos, umbrellas with metal tips, alcoholic beverages, or bottles of any kind will be permitted inside the venue.

All persons entering the stadium will be subject to search.

In addition, no vending will be tolerated outside the approved zones.

The police are also advising licensed firearm holders to make arrangements for the safekeeping of their weapons.

No provisions will be made at the venue or at the Stadium Police Station.

These persons are also being warned against leaving firearms in their vehicles, as this is a dangerous practice that may amount to breaches of the Firearms (Prohibition, Restriction and Regulations) Act.

The match is set to begin at 8 p.m.
