Security forces capable - Nelson

Minister of National Security Senator Dwight Nelson says the security forces have adequate resources to deal with any form of intimidatory tactics by criminals seeking to destabilise the country.

In referring to yesterday's firebombing of the motor car of youth activist Lawman Lynch, as well as the attempted firebombing of the constituency office of East Rural St Andrew Member of Parliament Joseph Hibbert, Nelson warned that the security forces would be resolute ensuring that law and order are maintained.

Earlier, the Opposition Leader Portia Simpson Miller had expressed concern for the safety of members of her party in light of their stance in the 'Dudus' extradition issue.

The PNP had been strident in calling for the Government to send the case involving alleged crime lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke to court.
