No-confidence vote a joke!
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I READ in The Gleaner that the People's National Party is considering tabling a no-confidence vote to remove Prime Minister Bruce Golding and his Cabinet.
This is a joke. The real problem is the association and relationship that active members of the Jamaica Labout Party/People's National Party have with dons. What both parties need to do is to enact laws to dissociate active members of the parties being associated with dons in any shape or form.
Dons have been a major contributors of crime and violence and all the lawmakers do is to talk about the issues. It is time to tame the action and enact laws. Seventy-three people have been killed because the security force were trying to capture alleged drug lord, Christoper 'Dudus' Coke.
Do you really think the PNP wants to eradicate dons? No. If they wanted to, they would not be trying to remove Golding from office, but to help him pass laws that no active members of the major parties would ever associate with dons while they are in office.
