Thousands of names have been added to the new voters' list published by the Electoral Office of Jamaica on Monday.
Close to 33,000 names were added and 2,460 deleted, bringing the total number to approximately 1.5 million.
Director of Elections Orrette Fisher said that while many were receptive to the call to get registered, there was need for more persons to comply.
"I encourage persons who missed being on this voters' list to get registered now, because the next list will be November the 30th," the director said.
Persons who are 18 years old and over and who are not subject to any legal incapacity are able to get registered.
