TG body riddled with shots
A man whose body was buried in a shallow grave in Tivoli Gardens was killed by multiple gunshots.
That was the finding of the government pathologist who conducted an on-the-spot post-mortem on the body yesterday.
The pathologist concluded that death was as a result of multiple gunshots to the abdomen and face and a high-calibre shot to the throat.
A statement from the Police High Command stated that the body was found recently in a grave located in an area of Tivoli Gardens called Rasta City.
The police said the autopsy was conducted in the presence of a representative of the public defender's office.
The body is of a male, under 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches long.
An immediate burial certificate was granted by the relevant authorities as the body was in an advanced state of decomposition.
The police revealed that four 9mm casings and one AK-47 calibre cartridge with an expended bullet were recovered from the grave.
