Virgin Atlantic appoints Jamaican sales manager

Virgin Atlantic Airways, Britain's second-largest airline, has Jamaican Teresa Lake as sales manager for Jamaica and the Northern Caribbean.

Lake will be answerable to Nick Parker, Virgin's regional manager for the Caribbean.

"We know Teresa is the right person to drive our sales and marketing activities to a higher level," said Parker in a company-issued statement.

Virgin has been flying to Jamaica since 2007, with four flights to London weekly.

Lake has just completed studies in the United Kingdom in international management,

"It will be my job to bring personality to the brand locally and grow our business. I can't wait to get started!" she said.
