Prove it, Portia

The Editor, Sir:
I think all well-thinking Jamaicans should join the G2K in their call for Mrs Portia Simpson Miller to substantiate her claims that a 'sinister plot' to cause mayhem in communities was being hatched, and she warned People's National Party supporters to be vigilant.
"I have already heard it said that the people murdered in Linstead was part of that plot," she was reported as saying. These are very serious allegations and should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet and forgotten. I would be extremely disappointed if Mrs Simpson Miller did not have a credible source or real evidence to substantiate these claims.
Was this just a cheap shot at the Jamaica Labour Party? Either way, Mrs Simpson Miller needs to let us know how she is planning to deal with this serious issue. Has she officially informed the police yet? I hope so. She has already virtually told the whole island. Do the right things, Mrs Simpson Miller, or withdraw your statement!
