Broilers retirement
At Jamaica Broilers Group Limited, the company said Hirlie Williams has retired as a director of the board, effective July 30.
Strata tribunal
Retired Justice Ian Forte will lead the tribunal for the newly established for the Commission of Strata Corporations, which was created by statute last year under the amended strata law.
The tribunal will also seat four more members: chartered surveyor Lloyd Davis; information technology specia-list Donald Barnett; accountant Lloyd Gooden; and attorney-at-law Judith Hanson-Harrison.
The five will serve three years to August 8, 2013.
Martin on marketing council
Banking executive Sheree Martin has been named to the Latin American advisory board of the Chief Marketing Officer Council.
The council, whose executive director said Martin's background in marketing and management was impressive, is a global network of more than 5,000 senior marketing executives controlling an estimated US$150 billion in annual marketing spend.
Martin is senior assistant general manager of marketing, communi-cations and service delivery for the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica group as well as chief executive officer of the NCB Foundation.
Lawes new Women's Centre chair
A new all-female board has been put in place at the Women's Centre, led by chairman Princess Lawes, a commissioned minister in the West Indies Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
The other directors are the Rev Dr Alma Blair, pastor Jennifer Owens, insurance executive Fay Hutchinson, businesswoman Dorothy Findlayson, retired executive and volunteer Gerthlyn Holman, Margaret Grant of the National Solid Waste Management Authority.
The state-run institution has also named three ex-officio members: Maria Jones, permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture; Beryl Weir, executive director of the Women's Centre; and Jennifer Williams from the Bureau of Women's Affairs.
