FirstCaribbean stands with police
Community policing in the Sunshine City of Portmore, St Catherine, received a boost on Friday with the provision of office furniture by FirstCaribbean International Bank, to the 100 Man Police Station in Greater Portmore.
Diana Warren-Robinson, manager of FirstCaribbean Bank, Portmore branch, which was opened last October, presented office desks and chairs to the station to facilitate the administra-tive functions carried out by police personnel.
The Portmore community have consistently benefited from FirstCaribbean International Bank's corporate responsibility stance. The Ascot High School, for example, in 2009 and 2010, received substantial financial support for its Student Behaviour Modification Programme, while bank representatives have also made presentations to students, imparting study and learning techniques.
The FirstCaribbean Portmore branch is one of 13 islandwide and the last of three commissioned under the bank's Jamaica expan-sion project 2006-2009.
