The 27-year-old Social Development Commission employee who was reported missing yesterday morning has been found.

Charlette Thompson reportedly went missing late Saturday night.

Yesterday morning, her Honda Civic motor car was found abandoned on Carpenter Road, off Hagley Park Road in St Andrew.

The Constabulary Communication Network said Thompson was found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

She was taken to hospital where she was treated and released.

  • D-Day for Buju?

Reggae singer Buju Banton could learn his fate today when the jury in his drug conspiracy trial resumes deliberations in Tampa, Florida, today.

Buju, whose real name is Mark Myrie, is facing charges of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine and aiding two others in possessing a firearm during the course of cocaine distribution. He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

  • Flash-flood watch still in effect

The Meteorological Service yesterday extended the flash-flood watch to low-lying and flood-prone areas of all parishes until 5 p.m. today.

A flash-flood watch means flooding is possible and citizens are advised to take precautionary measures, keep informed by listening to further news releases from the Meteorological Service and be ready for quick action if flooding is observed or if a warning is issued.
