Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) has got the green light from the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission (BGLC) to add two new games to its existing portfolio of seven, one of which will be rolled out in a matter of weeks.

The new additions, 'Pick 2' and 'Pick 4', appear to be spin-offs of the popular 'Pick 3' game from which SVL last year earned revenue of more than J$2 billion.

BGLC signed off on their introduction in September.

"Having received app-roval, we are now moving ahead with the logistics to make it happen," said Sonia Davidson, SVL vice president of group cor-porate communications.

Pick Two will debut in late November and Pick 4 in 2011," Davidson said.

It will require the reconfiguring of the gaming company's terminals, and fine-tuning the software.

Pick Three allows players to choose three numbers within a range of zero to nine with the chance to win up to $600,000 in each draw. Draws are done three times per day and bets can be place in one of four ways giving players more ways to win.

Details on the new games however were not disclosed. Davidson said some of those details were still being ironed out.

SVL is also working through hold-ups in its nascent sports betting operation which was launched earlier this year.

The first shop, Acropolis Portmore, is up and running - bringing "an upswing" in business, especially on the weekends, said Davidson - but the expansion of the networkhas been held back by legal impediments.

"We still face challenges in the distribution/roll-out of sports betting terminals as it pertains to the locations that can have the terminals installed," said Davidson.

"The Regulations that should accompany the amended Betting, Gaming & Lotteries Act are not yet approved and as such the new category of sports betting outlets - betting lounges - which is our main target, is difficult to define and obtain approval for."

But: "The BGLC is working with us to resolve these challenges," she said.
