A cry against social injustice in business

There is a cry against social injustice in the business sector, the banks and other lenders to the governments of many nations against heavy taxation, significantly increased bank charges, high interest rates increased foreclosures, redundancy exercises, and significantly reduced sales which have been affecting both small and large companies alike.

It is very difficult for small businesses to survive. Some managers are even now losing their jobs because they just don't know what to do. Some can't sleep at night, and after pouring their life's blood into their organisations are on the brink of losing everything and cannot find a solution to the issues they and their organisations face daily!

The bankers and other lenders refuse to modify loans, and as a result, late charges are being added because people are unable to repay loans. There is no mercy - and contrary to popular belief, there is no grace in the 'grace period'!

Many are losing their homes, their businesses, their livelihood and even their families because of this situation! Bills, bills everywhere; while government and other institutions are piling up charges.

Laws are being put in place, but not to help the poor. Instead it brings greater benefits to the rich.

If many of the lenders deliberately refused to extend grace and reduce the interest and loan payments to their customers then many of them would not be in the position they are now in. Many of them know that they already have friends outside of the system to whom they can resell those properties for almost nothing; so they are not perturbed.

Cry for help

So poverty is on the rise and the corruption, crime and violence increase! Further to that, suicide is also increasing as many see themselves in a hopeless situation out of which they can't seem to come! People are falling into insolvency and their children have to turn to prostitution to help complete their schooling and to help pay the debts of the household! People are crying out to God for help, and they want to know if He is listening! But while the earthly boards of directors refuse to hear the cry of the poor - the divine board of directors is listening and taking note of the cries of the poor!

When the cries come up before God, He removes leaders and administrations and allows more natural disasters (Isaiah 19). People may say that these natural disasters are only affecting the poor, but eventually, it will affect everyone until there is a change!

A new kind of leader

We need Nehemiahs and Davids in leadership. The first thing that the people need to do is to call an Isaiah 58 fast. This is the fast that deals with loosening the bonds of wickedness, undoing heavy burdens to let the oppressed go free, breaking every yoke, helping the poor, providing guidance and restoring the breach!

Then the Lord will raise up a leader that will deal with oppression and hear the cry of the people. Every time God's people and/or the poor cry out about the suffering, God raises up a deliverer! The deliverer who will stand up to bankers and lenders! It is one that will put laws in place to audit and deal with the mismanagement of past administrations; one that will refuse to live in luxury while the poor suffer. One that will ensure that there is restoration to those who have lost their homes and land! One who will reduce taxes and interest rates, reform the business sector, deal with usury and unethical business practices, cut down on government excess and spending, consolidate and reduce taxes, cut perks and entertainment allowances, bringing all the various stakeholders together - the business persons, the church, Government personnel, the media, the trade unions and all the national stakeholders - in order to work out a plan to deal with the cries and needs!

People are fighting for political interests, but not many, if any, are listening to the cries of the poor. Many are defending their own personal agendas!
