The local beer, wines and spirits company Red Stripe has announced a massive 'Christmas On The Rock Campaign', designed to offer rewards to its customers over the holiday season.

According to the company, the campaign will be led by its brewed brands Red Stripe, Red Stripe Light, Red Stripe Bold, Heineken and Guinness.

"We are giving our consumers instant and guaranteed rewards this holiday season," Jomo Cato, head of marketing for Red Stripe, told The Gleaner recently.

"Our beer brands have always played an integral role in the celebratory moments of the season and our consumers now have more to cheer about with instant savings in a time when it is really needed."

Spot prizes

Cato said consumers would also have the chance to win on-the-spot prizes in supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

These include $200 cash back with the purchase of any two six-packs. This will be a voucher, good for purchase in the same store.

There will also be two-for-one parties at several bars across Jamaica, where consumers get treated to two beers for the price of one every Friday night, along with gifts and giveaways.

According to Cato, Red Stripe will also reward some of its biggest customers, the route bars, by investing heavily in refurbishing select establishments and hosting weekly Friday night parties across the island at these community bars.

"A huge portion of our brands is consumed at our route bars and this is our way of saying thank you."

The Christmas On The Rock campaign will be held right across the island throughout the holiday and into the new year.

"We reach out to our consumers all year round, but at Christmas we feel, that as one big family, we need to extend a helping hand and add an extra special element of happiness to the life of each consumer, whether it is with our products, our friendships, our laughter or just Christmas spirit," Cato said.

"When we think of all the hardships persons have had to bear this year, the economic situation and the natural disasters we have had to face, we want to still spread our message of Christmas, which is all about celebrating life," added Cato.
