Women
Like dew that falls upon the plants
our eyes neglect to see the importance
the importance that underlines
strength, growth and well-being.
Yet, only the fruits -
the fruits from the plants
we acknowledge
not that we have no knowledge
of the dew
but our hearts refuse to pay it
this due.
Women
women of this nation
neglected, scared and bruised
you are the dew
appreciation, honour and respect
to you it is due.

Sunshine
Golden rays, warm in the morning
Bright rays shine like a new snowfall on an early winter morning
Upon the leaves so green and flowers ever bright
The happy sunshine shares its magical powers
It bobs and weaves its way to every corner
Singing a happy song and caressing the terrestrial borders
Waking every animal, man and child that sleeps
It beckons to the pretty robin and even the crow that passes by in the sky
To come play, come and play don't be shy
Happy little children peek through windows to see the sun with their sleepy eyes
A mother perched on a bench wiping her child's tear, the sun gleamed in delight
He crept up softly, quietly, not wanting to give them a fright
Gently caressed the little boy's cheeks with its hand of heat and dried the little boy's cheeks
The sun is golden yet so bright the higher it creeps every minute of the day
It makes everything seem bright as its honey rays drip and flow
From the lady hanging fresh linen on the line to the child who wants to play
In the evening when the sun begins to stretch and yawn
Little birds and squirrels come out to say goodbye
While lovers walk hand in hand and let the sun salute their love.
Slowly the light dips and falls another day it yawns, as it slowly goes to sleep.
