Police crack down on illegal activities downtown Kgn

THE POLICE yesterday carried out a series of coordinated operations across the Corporate Area detaining scores of persons and seizing several illegal items.
The Kingston eastern police were among the most active.
They were supported by workmen from the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) who disconnect several illegal electrical connections in homes on Charlotte Street, Stephen Lane, McWhinney Street in Rae Town, and neighbouring Southside in central Kingston.
In the neighbouring Kingston Central Division, Superintendent Steve McGreggor and his team detained scores of persons believed to be involved in illegal activities in downtown Kingston.
A large quantity of ganja and several illegal DVDs were also seized by the police.
