Big blunder

1. Some are calling the recent sponsorship of the concert the biggest blunder since the name change. They say the decision shows a lack of corporate maturity.

Fuming in west

2. People out west are fuming that the event came a full two days after the event got under way. The say what is even more troubling is the fact that by the time the official opening took place, some participant had already been eliminated.

Deadly force

3. Some are saying the little tablet that has become the companion of those who have failed to rise to the occasion is quite a deadly little force.

Snickers in town

4. Snickers abound around town whenever the events organizer appears these days. Those closest to the story say this is because her presence reminds them of her reward for going down on the boss when he was in a drunken stupor.

Daytime soap

5. Some observers are ascribing motives and reasons to the performers in the current daytime soap. It goes like this: One is a disgruntled and frustrated; one is way past his prime; and yet another is displaying early signs of dementia, hence the inability to stay focused!

Hell hath no fury

6. Quote of the Week: "All the talk about fraud is proof that hell hath no fury like that of a boss, whose subordinate was instructed to take the fall in a judicial probe, and told the boss where to shove it!"

Party time

7. It's the new vogue - party in honour of absentia.

Always present

8. Some are questioning the ability and capacity of government ministers and functionaries to be able to attend the enquiry for days as spectators. Is it a case of Nero fiddling while Rome burns, they ask?
