THE POLICEMAN at the centre of the controversy between head of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) Terrence Williams and Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn has taken the issue to the Supreme Court.

He is seeking several declarations from the Judicial Review Court.

Corporal Malica Reid, who was arrested by INDECOM investigators last week on a murder charge and taken before the court, is contending that his constitutional rights have been breached.

Reid, who is being represented by attorney-at-law Carolyn Reid Cameron, is contending in the suit that the INDECOM Act did not confer on the commissioner, attorney-at-law Terrence Williams, the power to arrest or charge anyone for any criminal offence.
