I think leaders should be held accountable for their actions. They are at the head of the country and we look up to them for leadership, and if they are not setting any example for us to follow, then we will do the same and our children will do the same, thinking it's the right thing. They should be held accountable for whatever wrongs they do.

I definitely think leaders should be held accountable for their actions. Leadership involves understanding the people and also incorporates good characteristics such as integrity, humility, dedication of purpose and selflessness. Hence, if you are in a position where you lead, then you should set examples for others to follow, and if you make a mistake you should be humble enough to accept responsibility because such character demonstrates true leadership.

I definitely think that leaders should be held accountable for their actions and their words. These are persons the people put in government and they should be accountable to the people. Too often they say and do things with scant regard for persons.

They should, most definitely, be held accountable. Accountability, that's a basic quality, it's divine order and every board chairman has to account, managers account for their businesses. It's just a basic principle. We've elected leaders on our behalf so they are accountable. We have a very weak culture of accountability in Jamaica and that needs to change.
