FirstCaribbean International Bank has named Douglas Cupidon as head of corporate banking in Jamaica.

The banking group said Cupidon was at the helm of the launch of various products and the "seamless negotiation of major commercial deals" on behalf of bank clients.

In his new role, he will be "focused on the bank's delivery of credit quality and professional service as well as business development," FirstCaribbean said.

Cupidon, who was educated at the University of the West Indies, has 18 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined CIBC, parent company for FirstCaribbean, in 1999 as an account manager and worked his way up in the bank.
