Global Finance names Scotiabank Best Emerging Market Bank in Jamaica
Scotiabank Jamaica has been named by Global Finance magazine as one of 23 Best Emerging Market Banks in Latin America in an exclusive survey to be published in the May 2011 edition, the local bank announced Thursday.
"We are excited to receive this award, which acknowledges our ongoing commitment to our customers and communities across Jamaica," said Bruce Bowen, president and CEO of Scotia Group Jamaica.
"This recognition is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and commitment of our employees to meet the needs of our customers and run a successful and sustainable business."
Global Finance's criteria for choosing the winners included growth in assets, profitability, strategic relationships, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative products. The magazine has been assessing performers for 18 years in Asia, the Middle East and Africa, LAC, and central and eastern Europe.
